Dr. Richard K. Wong hails from Brooklyn, NY, and always had a deep love for the sciences. His passion led him to test into the nationally-renowned STEM school, the Bronx High School of Science, the school that formed the basis for the Midtown School of Science and Technology in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He later achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brooklyn College and was admitted to the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Maryland after scoring 99th percentile Academic Average on the Dental Admission Test. Currently, he is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association.
Dr. Wong achieved Diplomate status of Implantology through the International Dental Implant Association, which is the highest honor in this organization through implant case submissions and review of clinical skills during live patient surgeries. Dr. Wong's passion for implant surgery also pushed him to pursue and complete an Advanced Implant Residency with a Mastership at the prestigious Bites Institute in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Wong is also an accredited Fellow after completing the Implant Fellowship Program at NYU/Dental XP.
Dr. Wong's desire for clinical excellence allowed him to attain a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. An achievement only 6 percent of general dentists achieve in the USA, as well as Canada. To achieve his Fellowship, Dr. Wong completed over 500 hours of training in various disciplines of dentistry, as well as passing a rigorous comprehensive written exam that encompasses all disciplines of dentistry.

A lifelong learner and autodidact who invests over 100 hours a year in training, Dr. Wong strives to hone his skillsets by reading textbooks, learning from the top practitioners in their respective fields, and participating in hands-on courses. He regularly performs root canals, extractions, bone grafting, implants, crowns, and bridges, as well as fillings. His mission is to provide quality dental care in a pleasant, comfortable environment and hopes to alleviate any dental fears that you may have one smile at a time.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wong enjoys playing computer games, tinkering with tech, doing numerous DIY projects, and watching sci-fi shows. Spending time with his two children and his wife, Mary by exploring local restaurants and hiking local trails. He also believes in living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys spending time in the gym lifting weights.
